Ghana has succeeded in creating conductive conditions in which political leaders are elected through constitutional means, and the integrity of the electoral process is respected above an individual desire for power. In the months leading to the December 2016 elections, the political environment projected this was going to be a high staked elections given the poor rating of the ruling party that was seeking mandate again to complete another term, while the opposition parties were more formidable and calling for change in government.
