The Smoldering Peace on the Plateau: Mapping Conflict and Prospects for Lasting Peace in Plateau State
The last five years of democratic governance in Nigeria have witnessed an alarming rate of violent conflicts in several parts of the country. Communal conflicts have increased in Nigeria in both number and intensity, causing thousands of deaths and massive displacement of the population. it is estimated that close to 750,000 Nigerians have been displaced as a result of violent communal/religious conflicts during the period under consideration.
