The convergence of global political and economic forces, agendas and ideologies had impacted significantly on the lives of African communities, particularly African women, and there was a call for dialogue on the situation; dialogue within an African context. Global policies on governance, Peace and Security, climate change; challenges like access to clean water health services, land, food, violence exploitation, disease, exclusion and discrimination have always threatened our work as women, and demand the leadership of women's organisations to make strategic changes in order to handle them better.
